Let’s get growing! Join the legendary Sabrina Hahn for a free workshop on how to grow a thriving, climate-smart garden that’s as resilient as it is beautiful.

This workshop will be delivered by gardening goddess Sabrina Hahn, the host of ABC radio's gardening program Roots and Shoots. Sabrina has a passion for the creation of sustainable environments that make cities more liveable. Her aim is to educate the community on the importance of creating biodiversity in their own backyards. She believes that diminishing green spaces in urban areas provide an opportunity to return biodiversity into cities and offer people a space for physical and mental wellbeing.

Come and learn how to build climate change resilience in your garden. Sabrina will be talking about ways in which we can improve soil health; the importance of appropriate plant selection; the importance of creating upper level canopy to increase shading; ways to cope with diseases and pests; and improving irrigation design to ensure your garden can flourish in a changing climate.

Light snacks will be provided.

Event activities will start on time, but if you are running late, you may still join.

Adult learning space - This is a professional development environment, guests are expected to listen and be respectful to the facilitator. This event is not suitable for children.
