The City of Melville (City) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to undertake the supply of a comprehensive fire services maintenance package in various locations across the City. A summary of locations is included in Appendix A. The Contract period is for an initial term of two (2) years with two (2) additional 24 month option periods which will be exercised at the sole discretion of the City. The City will appoint one Contractor for the provision of the services under the Contract. Please note the City does not guarantee the amount of work which will be required as part of this Contract. The City reserves the right to engage a Contractor outside of this Contract for works not specifically covered under this Contract. The City also reserves the right to engage a Contractor outside of this Contract for works unique to a Contractor. The services under the proposed Contract shall include emergency works, urgent works, non-urgent works and planned works. From time to time, services may be required out of normal working hours and on short notice. At the discretion of the City, the Contractor may be eligible to be awarded Capital Project work up to the value of $25,000.00 excl. GST, without the City seeking competitive quotes, provided a formal quote has been submitted by the Contractor and accepted by the City. Quoted works under $25,000.00 excl. GST, that are rejected by the City and Capital Works above $25,000.00 excl. GST, will be competitively quoted in accordance with the City’s Purchasing Policy and procedures. In the event the Contractor is unable to provide the Services required under the Contract, the City reserves the right to engage a contractor outside of the Contract to carry out the works.

The refurbishment works are to the offices in the north east wing of the building adjacent to Almondbury Road. This section of the building houses the Community Development directorate on the ground floor with the Corporate Services and Organisational Development directorate on the first floor. The Works will be split into 2 separable portions. Separable Portion One (1) consists of all Works for areas within the Corporate Services and Organisational Development directorate on the first floor. Separable Portion Two (2) consists of sub-stages A and B. Sub-stage A consists of the Call Centre and Customer Service front desk. This component is to reach Practical Completion and be handed over to the City prior to the commencement of sub-stage B. Sub-stage B includes the remainder of Works in Separable Portion Two (2).
