Flippa Swim School offers swimming lessons for children from 6 months of age to teen fitness and adult lessons, including our program for children with support needs.

  • Small Class Sizes - All classes are conducted in our heated 50m and 25m Pools. We keep our class sizes small to provide the best opportunity for learning.
  • Quality Instruction- Our dedicated and experienced instructors are AUSTSWIM qualified and complete professional development prior to every term.
  • Flexibility- Classes run 7 days a week with morning and afternoon times available.

Our facility provides swimmers with the opportunity to swim after their lesson - either play or practice!

Swim School Enrolments

All new swimmers (excluding Aquababes) are required to complete a complimentary assessment, including those returning to the program.

Assessments for our Term 4 program open on Monday, 16 September 2019. A 10 week term starts from $153.50. Contact us on 9364 0823 for further information or complete our online form.

The Flippa Swim School term program is included in our JuniorFit Membership for only $12.85pw. Membership options are available for juniors aged 3 months to 14 years.

Flippa Re-enrolments


Flippa Swim School operates on a term to term basis with students re-enrolling into the program each term. Current students will be provided preferential re-enrolment.


Upon receiving their re-enrolment form, parents can visit the Swim School Reception Desk to process their enrolment or completed forms can be placed in our drop boxes  EFTPOS transactions only.

XLR8 School Holiday Program

XLR8 School Holiday program is a comprehensive program to accelerate your child's progress. Offering all of our regular classes, XLR8 is perfect for swimmers wishing to continue refining their swimming throughout the holidays or a great way to kick start your child's swimming journey.

  • Monday, 7 October 2019 to Friday, 11 October 2019
  • 5 day program - $78.75
  • Flippa 1 - 7 classes available

Flippa 8 - 12 classes will not run during these October school holidays due to the installation of the Swim Wall in the 50m pool.

Flippa Swim School Class Descriptions


Aquababes - Introduce your child to water in a safe, fun and warm environment. Classes encourage water awareness, cognitive and physical development and bonding between the child and the parent through movement and song. Classes available: Six to nine months, 10 to 15 months, 16 to 24 months and 24 to 36 months.  For sanitary reasons, all babies must wear swim nappies. Regular nappies are not permitted. Trial class available.

$153.50 per term, based on a 10 week term.

Pre-School and School Aged classes

Pre-School and School Aged classes are Flippa 1 to 11 (30 mins) - This program guides our students through the progressions of swimming, from floating and basic technique through to the introduction of competitive swimming.

Flippa 12 (45 mins) - The final class of our school aged learn-to-swim program provides an introductory squad style session and teaches competitive swimming, lifesaving skills, race starts, finishes and turns, as well as assisting in the development of endurance.

Youth Swim (60 mins) - Designed for eight to 12 year olds who have sound stroke technique and endurance and wish to swim for fitness rather than in a competitive environment. Stroke correction provided.

$157.50 per term, based on a 10 week term.

Carnival Coaching (45 mins) - Offered during January XLR8 school holiday programs in preparation for carnival season. It is specially designed to assist any child who aspires to have the edge on their peers at their school swimming carnival. Minimum requirement of Flippa 8. Assessment required for New or Former Clients, $47.25 per series (3 sessions).

Teen classes

Teen Swim (60 mins) - Designed for teenagers aged 13 to 16 years who want to increase their fitness and stamina through drills and laps. Stroke correction provided.

Teen Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced - This program offers learn to swim classes for Teens in a safe and supportive environment. It teaches skills from floating and submersion through to competence in completing 50m of each competitive stroke. Lessons can be tailored to individual goals due to small class sizes.

$157.50 per term, based on a 10 week term.

Children with support needs - One-on-one lessons

Children with support needs - One-on-one lessons designed for children with specific learning needs that require additional support.  Activelink vouchers are accepted for this program.

$291.50 per term, based on a 10 week term.

Adult classes

Adult Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced - It is never too late to learn how to swim! Classes focus on skills from floating and submersion to develop competence and endurance in completing 50 metres of each competitive stroke. Lessons can be tailored to individual goals due to small class sizes.

Beginner class times - Monday 12noon and 1.00pm, Tuesday 5.30pm, Wednesday 12noon, Saturday 11.00am and 11.30am, Sunday 12.30pm

Intermediate class times - Monday 12.30pm, Wednesday 12.30pm, Thursday  5.30pm, Saturday 10.00am and 4.00pm

Advanced class times - Wednesday 1.00pm and Saturday 10.00am

What should I bring to class?

All swimmers should be dressed in bathers and ensure to pack their goggles, towel and warm dry clothes for after class. We recommend all parents participating in an Aquababe class wear a swim rashie. Bubs need to wear a swim nappy where appropriate.

How early should I arrive to class?

All swimmers are encouraged to arrive at least 10 mins before class to ensure they are ready to go when the class is due to commence.

How do I know where my class is being conducted?

A confirmation email will be sent to all swimmers a few days prior to term start. Corresponding locations to your confirmed class can be found here. Class lists will also be available on the noticeboards next to each pool a week prior to term start.
