All aboard! Join adventurer and musician Nick Turner as he shares tales of sailing on a square rigger from Montevideo to the Antarctic.

A fifty-day passage travelling over 8000km on a traditionally rigged three masted bark from Montevideo to the Antarctic Peninsula via The Falkland Islands and South Georgia, with a Drake Passage crossing to make landfall in Ushuaia after passing Cape Horn. What could possibly go wrong!! Nick Turner will enlighten you on the sailing, the ship, life on board, the wildlife and the feeling or being in Ernest Shackleton's footsteps.

Nick is a well-known local musician, keen sailor and published author. He will have copies of his recently published busker’s memoir and CDs for sale on the night.
