ActiveLink Program

ActiveLink supports eligible City of Melville residents of all abilities to connect with others in their community  by participating in sport and leisure activities such as fitness classes, creative art classes, swimming lessons, library activities, dance classes and more. Applications are accepted year-round, providing financial support for those who face barriers to participation in the community.

Eligible residents can receive one voucher per financial year for a maximum of $200. Please note that ActiveLink receives many applications and funding is limited. Eligibility for funding does not guarantee that your application will be successful.

Applicants must:

  • be a City of Melville resident
  • choose an activity that is provided within the City of Melville  
  • be able to provide proof of low income (i.e. eligible Centrelink Card) OR demonstrate exceptional circumstances.
  • read and understand the Program Guidelines.

ActiveLink cannot be used for:

  • Equipment (e.g. sport shoes, clothing)
  • Health/medical services (e.g. massage, hydrotherapy)
  • Educational tutoring services
  • Programs or activities outside the City of Melville
  • Activities that occur during school hours or are part of the school curriculum

How to Apply

You can apply for the 2021-2022 round of ActiveLink online or by requesting a hard copy form. The 2021-2022 round will close on 30 June 2022.

Successful applicants with be issued with an ActiveLink Voucher within 21 working days of receipt of application. Applicants then take the voucher to the Activity Provider when they wish to start the activity.

Please check with the Activity Provider around any terms and conditions of your Voucher e.g. expiry periods, availability of activities in school holidays etc.

Contact us to request a hard copy application form. A hard copy form can be posted to you or picked up from the City of Melville Civic Centre, or Willagee or Blue Gum Community Centres.

Please let us know if you require assistance or the Guidelines in an alternative format. The application form can be completed either online, over the phone or in person. Applicants can request help from family, friends, Carers and City of Melville staff.
