Main character energy! Join Author and Illustrator Susan Joy Lu for a dynamic, hands-on illustration workshop where stories come to life!

Discover what happens behind the scenes of picture book creation and learn how to design expressive, memorable characters for your very own stories. Susan will guide participants through step-by-step drawing tutorials while sharing creative tips and techniques for developing unique character designs full of personality and emotion.

Inspired by Susan’s colourful, nostalgic illustration style and her debut picture book Nanna Croccles, this joyful workshop is perfect for young artists and storytellers ready to bring their imaginations to life on the page.

Children under 13

• Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of this activity.

• Please book an accompanying adult ticket with the child/children attending the session.

Cancellation

• If you are no longer able to attend, please contact the library as soon as possible so the place can be offered to someone on the waitlist.
