Jane is thrilled and honoured to have been trusted by the residents and ratepayers of Bicton-Attadale-Alfred Cove ward to be their representative for the next 4 years.
She feels HER election is the natural conclusion of a journey that began in November 2016. During the intervening years she haS taken a keen interest in Council-related issues, and decided she wanted to become part of the team that has the responsibility for defining how our community moves forward.
Jane has lived in the City of Melville for most of her life, growing up in Attadale, and now living in the suburb of Melville with her husband, Craig.
Jane has worked for many years as a corporate information manager, working in records management, corporate governance and libraries. Jane now works as the administration manager for an award-winning metal fabrication company.
For many years Jane walked her 2 dogs down at Burke Drive and Tompkins Park and both of those green spaces are very close to her heart. She has personal experience of the healing power of accessing those spaces and wants our community to be able to continue to access them on the shores of Derbal Yarrigan.
Jane has a keen interest in seeing our suburb verges be developed using native plants to provide habitat and biodiversity in our suburbs.
Finally Jane would like to acknowledge and thank Cr June Barton for her support and advice over the past few months, and for her years of service to this community, she hopes she is able to successfully follow her example.
