George feels honoured to have been elected as Councillor for the Bicton-Attadale-Alfred Cove Ward in the City of Melville.
A long-term resident of more than 25 years, George and his wife Natalie raised five children in the area, building strong ties across schools, sporting clubs and local community networks. This deep connection has helped shape his commitment to ensuring our suburbs remain vibrant, sustainable and family-friendly places to live.
George's professional background spans more than three decades in the resources and operations sectors, where he developed a strong foundation in leadership, risk management and community engagement. These experiences - combined with ongoing volunteer work as Rear Commodore at the East Fremantle Yacht Club and Convener of the Friends of Wal Hughes and Ern Stapleton Reserves, have reinforced the importance of collaboration, accountability and practical decision-making.
As a Councillor, he plans to continue to advocate for balanced development, enhanced public amenities and the preservation of our natural environment - particularly our treasured foreshore, reserves and tree canopy. He believes that local government should focus on listening to residents, delivering value for ratepayers and protecting what makes our community special.
Above all, he brings to this role a genuine desire to serve, and looks forward to working with his fellow Councillors, the Mayor and the City administration to deliver positive outcomes for all residents. Collectively, ensuring Melville continues to thrive and keeping families at the heart of every decision.
