Spaces to relax, learn and catch up!

Our Libraries provide spaces to study, relax, learn, catch up on the latest news and do business away from the office or home.

You can even drop in for a coffee and a yummy treat at the Boab Cafe in Civic Square Library.

Library Facilities

Computers

All libraries provide free public access to computers (including Apple Macs) to any City of Melville Libraries member. Temporary internet use charge for non-members is $2.00 per hour.

You can access the Internet, email, social media applications ie: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc, Microsoft Office. Our Mac computers also have a range of additional applications.

Technology Training

Do you need some help using computers? The Melville Digital Hub provides technology training on computers, iPads, smart phones, Android tablets, social media and much more from our libraries and Willagee Community Centre.

Printing, Scanning and Laminating Services

Printing, photocopying and laminating services are available for a fee. Free scanning to email is also available. Fees are shown in the table below.

Mobile Print

If your printer is not working at home or you would like to print from a mobile device, our Mobile Print service allows you to print from anywhere to any of our libraries’ printers and collect it at your convenience during library opening hours.

Please note that your document will stay in the system for three days.

Print your documents from a mobile or tablet device in five easy steps:

  1. Download the PrinterOn app for Apple or Android
  2. Select the library you would like to print to
  3. Select size and colour option (A3 or A4, colour or black and white printing options available)
  4. Upload the document you would like to print
  5. Collect from your chosen library during opening hours

To print from a desktop or laptop, all you need to do is:

Go to www.printeron.net/coml/melvillelibraries

  1. Select desired size and colour option
  2. Enter your email address, this will identify your print items at the library
  3. Upload the document you would like to print and click Print-jpg.jpeg
  4. Review print cost, then click next-jpg.jpeg
  5. Visit your nearest library to print and collect

You will need internet access to use this service, but if you are at any of the libraries you can connect to the public wifi.

Home Delivery Service

Our home delivery service offers delivery of library materials to those who are physically unable to visit the library in person.

The service provides delivery of books, magazines, audio books and other items to residents throughout the City of Melville.

Volunteering at Libraries

Do you want to get involved with your local library?

Volunteering opportunities are available at our libraries for shelving library resources, selecting items for our home delivery members, preparing storytime craft, cleaning DVDs and audio discs, basic computer help and much more.

Join a fantastic work environment, help the community and stay active.

On the job training will be provided.
