Due to a major phone upgrade the City's phones will be unavailable between 1-6pm Saturday 23 February. During the outage you can call Community Safety Service 1300  653 643 or Rangers 0418 943 219.

Spaces for Everyone

Spaces to relax, learn and catch up!

Our Libraries provide spaces to study, relax, learn, catch up on the latest news and do business away from the office or home.

You can even drop in for a coffee and a yummy treat at the Boab Cafe in Civic Square Library.

Library Facilities

Computers

All libraries provide free public access to computers (including Apple Macs) to any City of Melville Libraries member. Temporary internet use charge for non-members is $2.00 per hour (cash only).

You can access the Internet, email, social media applications ie: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc, Microsoft Office. Our Mac computers also have a range of additional applications.

Technology Training

Do you need some help using computers? The Melville Digital Hub provides technology training on computers, iPads, smart phones, Android tablets, social media and much more from our libraries and Willagee Community Centre.

Printing, Scanning and Laminating Services

Printing, photocopying and laminating services are available for a fee (cash only). Free scanning to email is also available. Fees are shown in the table below.

Mobile Print

If your printer is not working at home or you would like to print from a mobile device, our Mobile Print service allows you to print from anywhere to any of our libraries’ printers and collect it at your convenience during library opening hours.

You will need internet access to use this service, but if you are at any of the libraries you can connect to our free public wifi. Please note that your document will stay in the system for three days.

There are three different ways to send your prints, choose your preferred option.

Option One

Send your documents to print via the PrinterOn webpage

  1. Go to www.printeron.net/coml/melvillelibraries.
  2. Select desired size and colour option (A3 or A4, colour or black and white printing options available).
  3. Enter your email address. You will need this to release your prints.
  4. Select the file or webpage you would like to print.
  5. Click the next icon: next-jpg.jpeg
  6. Wait for the price to display, then click the print icon: Print-jpg.jpeg

Collect your prints from any City of Melville Library during opening hours.

Option Two

Send your documents via email

  1. Compose a new email and attach the document that you would like to print (or forward an existing email).
  2. Send the email to the appropriate email address:

Note: Both the email and the attachments will be sent to the printer, but they will be listed separately at the print release station. When releasing your prints, make sure to select only the documents you wish to print.

Option Three

Send your documents using the PrinterOn app

    1. Download the PrinterOn app for your Apple or Android device.
    2. Open the app, and then tap No Printer Selected to choose your printer.
    3. Tap the search icon (magnifying glass), then type "City of Melville" in the search box and tap Search.
    4. Four printer options will be displayed - select desired size and colour option (A3 or A4, colour or black and white printing options available).
    5. Select the file or webpage you would like to print and then tap Print.
    6. Enter your email address. You will need this to release your prints.
    7. Tap the tick to send your prints.

    Collect your prints from any City of Melville Library during opening hours.

    Home Delivery Service

    Our home delivery service offers delivery of library materials to those who are physically unable to visit the library in person.

    The service provides delivery of books, magazines, audio books and other items to residents throughout the City of Melville.

    Volunteering at Libraries

    Do you want to get involved with your local library?

    Volunteering opportunities are available at our libraries for shelving library resources, selecting items for our home delivery members, preparing storytime craft, cleaning DVDs and audio discs, basic computer help and much more.

    Join a fantastic work environment, help the community and stay active.

    On the job training will be provided.
