Conversational English Classes

Learn Australian English conversation and gain the confidence to greet and talk to people. These classes, led by friendly volunteers, will help you speak and understand English and learn about Australian society, culture and customs. There are no fees charged for these classes and everyone is welcome.
 
 All sessions are held at AH Bracks Library + Creative Space during school terms only.

Learn English Online

• Mango Languages online English courses are customised for native speakers of 21 other languages. Use your City of Melville library card number and PIN to sign up and get free access to all the lessons.
   
• AMES English courses are free for City of Melville Library members; all you need is your library card number. Topics include World Wide English, Living in Australia, and Workplace Communication Skills.
   
• ABC Learn English is free and accessible to anyone learning English as a second language. Provided by Australia’s public broadcaster, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
   
• SBS Learn English offers free language lessons and content to help you improve your English and live well in Australia.
