How can stories, knowledge and care for Country help us to see to see Country differently?
As part of the Yagan Mia Djinanginy exhibition, this panel discussion brings together Ian Wilkes, Noongar theatre-maker, dancer and performer, and Ngarma Aboriginal Association to share how caring for urban bushland, rivers, and waterways strengthens cultural connections while restoring the health of Country.
Through stories of cultural, ecological, and community-led projects, the discussion will peel back the layers of the familiar landscape, revealing the enduring knowledge, relationships, and histories that continue to shape the places we live.
