28 October 2026

Volunteer training session to become a Compassionate Connector in your community.

Melville Cares is launching a new program - Compassionate Connectors - where we will link volunteers with seniors experiencing social isolation, grief or chronic illness.

Compassionate Connectors are trained volunteers who help ensure no one in our community has to face serious illness, ageing, dying or grief alone. They support people by helping build caring networks around them, connecting family, friends, neighbours and local services to provide practical, social and emotional support.

Rather than doing everything themselves, Connectors help communities rediscover how to care for one another.

This training session will give you the tools you need to help seniors build a community around them and re-connect them back into their local community.

For catering purposes, please RSVP by Friday, 23 October via email or phone.
