Byte-Size Beginnings: Technology Storytime - Creating Stories

Discover how technology can inspire creativity, imagination, and storytelling while supporting your child's early learning. Each session explores a different interactive tech tool through stories, play, and creative activities that help build literacy, language, motor, and early STEAM skills.

Designed for parents and caregivers as well as children, Byte-Size Beginnings also demonstrates how digital technology can be a positive, purposeful part of family learning and provides ideas for choosing age-appropriate digital resources. Join us each week to explore, create, play, and learn together.

Week 4: Creating Stories

Every picture has a story to tell. In this session, families will use digital and thermal print cameras to capture moments, then talk about, retell, and create new stories inspired by the images they take. Parents and caregivers will discover how photography can encourage conversation, strengthen memory and story sequencing, and inspire children's creativity, language, and early literacy skills.

Byte-Size Beginnings is a unique Storytime program that combines reading, singing, and hands-on technology-based learning through play, designed for families with children aged 3-5.
