Dyoondalup Point Walter

Please be advised that the public toilets and Alchemy Sauna at Dyoondalup Point Walter will not be operating Wednesday, 16 September and Thursday, 17 September due to planned electrical works. Walters River Café will be operating but without air conditioning.
We appreciate your patience and apologise for any inconvenience.

Fire Break and Hazard Reduction Notice 2026-2027

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, all owners and occupiers of land situated within the City of Melville are required to carry out the fire prevention works specified in this Notice on or before 1 November 2026, or within 14 days of becoming the owner or occupier of land after that date, and to maintain those works up to and including 30 April 2027.

Dyoondalup Point Walter viewing platforms temporarily closed

The viewing platforms at Dyoondalup Point Walter are temporarily closed from 17 August 2026 until late September while essential maintenance works are completed.
The platforms will be removed to complete the repairs and reinstalled once works are complete.
For your safety, please stay clear of the closed areas and follow any onsite signage.

H5 bird flu detection

H5 bird flu has been detected in Western Australia. If you notice multiple sick or dead birds or other animals, you should not touch them or get too close. Avoid contact. Record what you see. Report it to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.

Queensland fruit fly (Qfly) detection
Qfly has been detected in the suburbs of Como and South Perth. The City of Melville is in the orange zone of the Quarantine Area meaning:
Host fruit and fruiting vegetables must not be moved outside of the Orange Zone unless they have been treated.
Host fruit and fruiting vegetables moving within the Orange Zone or into the Red Zone must be maintained under secure conditions (covered, in packaging, fully enclosed or screened buildings) to ensure the produce does not become infested.
