The City of Melville's much-loved Melville Summer Music series is set to return this summer, bringing a season of free live music to local parks and public spaces from November 2026 through to March 2027.

Featuring a mix of acclaimed Australian artists and emerging local talent, the free 10-concert series invites families, young people, and the local community together to gather outdoors and enjoy warm evenings of music, food and connection.

The season kicks off on Saturday, 7 November at the picturesque Centennial Park, one of Melville's most scenic green spaces. Throughout the summer, concertgoers can look forward to a diverse program spanning indie rock, folk, soul, blues, roots, Afro-Creole rhythms and contemporary sounds.

This year's lineup features celebrated artists including award winning singer, songwriter Grace Barbe, Peter Bibby, The Devil and Abbe May, Navy June, and Tchega, alongside a strong lineup of Western Australian performers.

For the first time in the program's history, Melville Summer Music will head to Dyoondalup Point Walter in January, adding a stunning new riverside setting to the concert series. The January performances at Dyoondalup Point Walter will see audiences enjoy live music against the backdrop of one of Perth's most iconic waterfront locations.

City of Melville Mayor Katy Mair said Melville Summer Music had become a staple of the City's summer calendar.

"Melville Summer Music is about bringing people together through shared experiences in some of our most beautiful outdoor spaces. Whether you're discovering a new artist, catching a favourite act, or simply enjoying an evening with family and friends, the series creates opportunities for our community to connect through live music and culture. We're particularly excited to welcome audiences to Dyoondalup Point Walter for the first time this season, expanding the program into another much-loved iconic location within the City."

ARIA nominated and multi- award winning singer, songwriter Grace Barbe, who will perform at Centennial Park in November, said she was looking forward to sharing music with local audiences.

"Live music has a wonderful way of bringing communities together, and outdoor concerts create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone can enjoy music in a unique setting.

"I'm excited to be part of this year's Melville Summer Music program and to some new things I’ve been working on with fresh faces in such a beautiful location."

The season opens on Saturday, 7 November and will run until 27 March at some of Melville’s most beautiful parks including Centennial Park, Piney Lakes Reserve, Dyoondalup Point Walter, Yagan Mia Wireless Hill and Kadidjiny Park.

Audiences are encouraged to bring a picnic, gather friends and family, and enjoy an afternoon of free live music in the heart of Melville.
