The City of Melville’s Council has a new a face after the Palmyra-Melville-Willagee community had their say in the Extraordinary Election held on Thursday, 26 March 2026.
Michael McGoldrick was elected and will be sworn in during a Special Meeting of Council in the City’s Chambers on Tuesday, 31 March beginning at 6:00pm.
Councillor Elect McGoldrick was the 2024 City of Melville Auspire Community Citizen of the Year.

The Extraordinary Election was conducted by the Western Australian Electoral Commission, with a commission appointed returning officer overseeing the election process, taking candidate nominations, receiving votes and supervising the count and declaring the results on election night.
