Construction of a new car park at Goolugatup Lower Lands began in the week starting Monday, 16 March 2026. The project is expected to take several weeks to complete, with works carefully staged to minimise disruption and accommodate scheduled community events within the precinct.

Box-out and subgrade preparation works commenced on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.

Road Rehabilitation Program 2025-2026

When a road surface condition becomes poor or defective, rehabilitation or resurfacing work is needed to restore the pavement surface to the required level of service.

Civil and asphalt works were completed on Wednesday, 25 March 2026. Spotting was completed on Thursday, 26 March 2026, for line marking by Main Roads WA.

Rain on Friday, 27 March 2026 has revealed that some surface correction is required to surface levels at the new plateau, where the design road fall is less than 0.5%.

Four kerb repairs and one pedestrian ramp repair are required.

Road Sweeping
