Project Information
Update - November 2025
The City is now looking for suitable community recreation groups to ground lease the surplus bowling green. If your organisation is ready to bring new life to this space, please submit your proposal via our tenderlink portal.
Update - June 2025
The installation of a new bore and preliminary site works are now complete. Remaining works will be undertaken over June/July 2025, including the path, furniture and planting. The whole site will be fenced off during this period.
At the Ordinary Meeting in December 2020, Council resolved to ‘cede Green D and the southern portion of the lease area to accommodate a publicly accessible park’. This provided an opportunity to create a multi-generational public open space for the local area and adjacent bowling club.
In response to Council direction in 2024, the scope of the project has been reduced to allow for investigation into alternative usages for existing Green D. The reduced scope will result in reduced facilities on the new park.
The new parkspace will include:
- a loop path around the site
- seating and a picnic setting
- a swing set
- additional shade trees and garden beds
