New Collection Service

City of Melville residents have a new and convenient way to keep quality household items out of landfill, thanks to a partnership between the City and ParaQuad Industries – Alinea.

This new collection service offers residents a valuable collection service to donate quality household goods, books and clothing that are clean, usable and in good condition to Paraquad industries who reuse, recycle and sell items through their op shop stores.

As an NDIS registered provider of supported employment Alinea’s ParaQuad Industries provides meaningful employment opportunities for people living with disabilities while helping divert valuable resources from landfill through reuse and recycling programs.

Residents are encouraged to think before they throw and consider donating usable household items to ParaQuad Industries.

Many unwanted items still have life left in them and could help support local families, community members and create employment opportunities for people living with disabilities across Western Australia.

Donated Items

ParaQuad Industries accept quality and in good condition:  include/copy from FAQs

Items should be:
✔ Clean
✔ Safe
✔ In working condition
✔ Reusable

If your item is heavily damaged, broken or no longer usable, it may be more suitable for verge collection

Why Donations Matter

Support from the community and use of this service helps creates jobs for people with disabilities and diverts good items from landfill through reuse and op shop sales.

Donating usable items helps:

  • Reduce landfill waste
  • Support reuse
  • Assistlocal community programs
  • Give household goods a second life
  • Support a more sustainable community

Think before you throw and ask yourself

  • Could it be reused?
  • Could someone else benefit from it?

If your items are truly at the end of their life and cannot be recycled, rehomed, repaired or reused then book a verge collection.
