About City of Melville EcoHub

City of Melville EcoHub exists to inspire people to experience and connect with the natural environment and to encourage positive behaviour change towards its protection.

We take pride in offering unique, authentic and engaging experiential learning opportunities, focused on environmental protection, sustainable living and respect for Noongar Boodja.

We encourage people, as individuals or as groups or organisations, to explore their local environment and environmental issues, engage in problem solving, develop skills, make informed decisions and take responsible action.

Climate Emergency

In response to the declaration of a climate emergency, the City of Melville has revitalized the core mission of the City of Melville EcoHub, aiming to educate the wider community about sustainable living, Noongar culture, and environmental conservation.

To effectively fulfill this mission, the resources and facilities of this venue are dedicated solely to programs and events that prioritise sustainability and environmental awareness.

About EcoHub

The centre reduces carbon output and minimises environmental impact through sustainable building technology. The centre was built using recycled and locally sourced materials, makes use of renewable resources, and was designed to be climate sensitive reducing the need for active heating and cooling. Learn more about sustainabe building technologies atEcoHub.
