Craft for Adults: Twist, twine and stitch workshop
+ Add to calendar

28 October 2026

Turn fabric scraps into something surprisingly useful.

Turn fabric scraps into something surprisingly useful. In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to transform reclaimed fabric into sturdy twine, then use a sewing machine to stitch it into a small, functional piece such as a coaster or bowl.

It's a chance to slow down, work with your hands and discover a creative way to give unwanted textiles a new life. No sewing experience needed. All materials are provided, or you’re welcome to bring along your own fabric scraps to incorporate into your project - worn bedsheets or pillow cases work particularly well.

About the presenter:
Selina is the founder of Positively Sew, a creative sewing business helping people reconnect with making through simple sewing, mending and textile reuse. With a background in the fashion industry, she now focuses on practical, sustainable ways of working with textiles - from repairing clothes to turning fabric scraps into something useful.
