Background
I was born and raised in Attadale and have lived in the City of Melville all my life. I studied at the University of Western Australia, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws. I subsequently completed a Diploma of Legal Practice and became a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Professional Experience
After graduating from university I commenced practising as a lawyer at a large Western Australian law firm, specialising in corporate and commercial law. I recently joined a private WA technology company as an in-house lawyer, where I have been involved in its expansion and transition to a public company.
I was elected to Council in 2015 and elected Deputy Mayor in 2017. I have served on a number of committees and community organisations including the Aviation Museum Heritage Committee, the Murdoch Precinct Strategic Group and the Metro Central Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP). In 2019 I was re-elected to Council for a second term.
Interests
I am an active member of the local community through the Bull Creek Primary School Board and Rotary International. I am passionate about keeping rates low to limit the impact on residents, reducing congestion on our roads, and preserving and improving our parks and streetscapes.
In my free time I enjoy going to the beach, playing guitar and exercising. I also have strong interests in history, politics and international relations.
