Glynis was born in Queensland, but has lived in the City of Melville for over 40 years. She grew up in Attadale in a loving family and went to local schools. Sport was a big part of her childhood and she represented Western Australia in Tennis and was the WA State School Girls Tennis coach this year. She graduated from UWA with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Human Movement and a Diploma of Education, then later completed a Graduate Certificate in Counselling and Career Development from RMIT. She has been married for 32 years and has three children aged 26, 24 and 21. Glynis enjoys teaching and has taught Business, Management & Careers at Applecross SHS for the last 13 years.
Values such as honesty, fairness, kindness, education and a sense of humour are important to Glynis. Her main interests are her family, friendships, keeping active, education and travel.
She loves living in Melville, and really enjoyed the Election Campaign because she met so many interesting people in the community. She is now looking forward to serving the ratepayers from Bicton, Attadale and Alfred Cove to the very best of her ability.
