The City has been undertaking a process of engagement with the relevant groups to determine the needs of the stakeholders involved.

Aboriginal Elder Group
The purpose of the meeting was to engage with the Aboriginal Elder group, previously met with as part of the Attadale Alfred Cove Foreshore Master Plan project, regarding the potential use of the clubrooms by the Rangers and to understand the cultural narrative of the site and appropriate built form response. The group met onsite on the 12 December and discussed the history of the land, the stories of the Aboriginal people and the connection to water, place and people. The next meeting with the Aboriginal Elder Group will take place after the concept design has progressed. We anticipate this to take place March 2024.

Troy Park User Group
City of Melville Officers and appointed architect, Hodge Collard Preston Architects, met with the Troy Park User Group on the 14 December 2024. The meeting covered a wide range of topics related to the ARIS changeroom program and the potential refurbishment or rebuild of the current building. Findings from the Aboriginal Elder Group, site considerations and needs of the users were discussed. The next meeting with the Group will take place after the concept design has progressed.
