Workshops with user groups of Morris Buzacott Reserve are complete, with the draft concept currently under review by City staff.
The Site Development Plan is scheduled to be presented to Council in December 2025. Subject to Council endorsement, the City will invite feedback from the broader community through an online public survey in early 2026.
Three workshops held over a three-month period engaged various sporting and community groups that use the reserve.
Key findings were:
- The importance of prioritisation of infrastructure that supports core sporting needs, like upgraded surfaces, lighting, shared storage, accessible toilets and air-conditioned halls.
- An emphasis on activating underutilised zones for environmental and financial opportunities.
- Support for revising the car park layout.
- A need for improved collaboration between clubs.
It is anticipated the Site Development Plan will be presented at the December 2025 Ordinary Meeting of Council, with public comment scheduled for early 2026.
