This week the City launched a new engagement platform for Melville Talks. While the name remains the same, the platform has been rebuilt to provide a better experience for our community.
The new platform brings all community engagement projects together in one place, making it easier to discover projects, have your say and stay informed. It also supports the City's obligations under the new Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024 (WA).
Unfortunately, as part of the move to the new platform, we're unable to transfer existing project followers or subscriber information. This is due to both the platform change and the requirements of the new privacy legislation. As a result, we're inviting previous project followers and Melville Sounding Board members to reconnect with Melville Talks.
Community members can either:
- Create a Melville Talks account to receive personalised engagement opportunities, save their details for future participation and manage all the projects they follow in one place.
- Follow an individual project without creating an account to receive updates about that specific project only.
We appreciate everyone's understanding during this transition and are confident the new platform will provide an improved engagement experience for our community.
