Write With the Lights Off is a one‑hour spooky storytelling workshop where kids build their own creepy villain, discover what makes a setting truly unsettling, and then dive into writing their very own horror tale. With fun prompts and eerie ideas every child leaves with a spooky story idea, and the option to submit their final product to the spooky podcast: Micro Terrors.
About Fionna Cosgrove:
Born and bred in Perth, Western Australia, Fionna was raised on a far too paranormal diet of X-files, Are you Afraid of the Dark, Fact or Fiction and a plethora of other completely age-inappropriate TV shows. This has led to not only a peculiarly open mind, but also a taste for the delightfully mysterious and macabre.
When Fionna is not sitting in front of the computer screen trudging through pain staking first drafts, hanging out with her two kids, an oversized pooch and one amusingly logical husband. You can usually find her listening to paranormal podcasts, baking cakes, following that black line in the pool, or with her head in an array of books.
Fionna is the author of the self-published spooky kids series ‘Twisted Trails’ as well as the middle grade spooky mystery ‘Sadie and the Secret of the Swamp’ published by Dragonfly Publishing.
