The City of Melville’s work to strengthen its relationships with local sporting clubs has been recognised with an award.
City of Melville Club Support Officer Loll Endersby was nominated by the Melville City Hockey Club for Melville Rotary’s Pride of Work Award, which recognises employees who demonstrate outstanding qualities and commitment for their role in the workplace.
Melville City Hockey Club President David Timmel and Melville Rotary President Dale Cole gathered to present the award at the Tuesday, 18 August Ordinary Meeting of Council.
The recognition came from Mr Endersby’ effective and enthusiastic support to local sport and community clubs in the City of Melville.
In line with the City’s priority of supporting sustainable sporting and community groups, the City has changed its approach to a more proactive model during the past 18 months.
The transition has included implementing an East and West service model which provides clubs with a direct contact Club Support Officer, to become a familiar contact and strengthen relationships with active listening, engagement and providing a can-do positive approach.
The new structure has been essential to embrace the City’s customer first approach, develop positive relationships with local clubs, enhance the City’s level of support for clubs; who ultimately contribute by providing a wide range of activities and opportunities that make Melville vibrant and inclusive place to live.
