Local History Service

The City of Melville collects and preserves historical information and artefacts as a Local History Service located at Wireless Hill Museum.

Please note: The Local History Service is currently unavailable due to relocation of the service to AH Bracks Library + Creative Space in Melville. The service will recommence later in September.

These items include:

  • Artefacts and photographs (for a fee we can supply copies of photographs for research, presentation, or personal use)
  • Oral history interviews
  • Newspaper articles
  • A reference library collection
  • History publications about the City of Melville and Melville area

The public files of the local history reference collection are available Tuesday to Friday between 9.00am and 4.00pm. Please contact the Wireless Hill Museum before visiting.
