May Library Amnesty

May Library Amnesty

Library and Information Week is held during the last week of May each year. This year Library and Information Week takes place from 20–26 May 2019. The theme for Library and Information Week 2019 is Truth, Integrity, Knowledge (TIK).

City of Melville libraries lose over 2,000 items every year due to people not returning overdue books. During Library and Information Week and for the month of May, we are calling for people to return their overdue library books no matter how old - that way they can be enjoyed by others for years to come.

We don't mind how overdue your library books are - books have style that never fades! Simply return your overdue items to any of the drop off zones listed below.

Auto-renewal Coming Soon

Our new auto-renewal system is coming soon! At the end your three week loan, any items not requested by other library members will be automatically renewed - saving you time and giving you longer with the books you love!
