The Digital Hub provides technology training at City of Melville Libraries and the Willagee Community Centre. Learn about computers, iPads, smartphones, tablets and more. Bookings are essential. Book online through the Technology Training Calendar or call 9364 0138.

One on One Sessions

Book a one on one session for assistance with your specific needs relating to computers, the internet, tablets, mobile phones, email, and social media.

Cost: $5.00 per session

We offer a range of topics available in class sizes of four, including but not limited to:

  • Computer Basics - Windows 7, 8 & 10, and Apple Mac
  • Internet Safety
  • Introduction to iPads
  • Editing photos on iPads
  • Introduction to Android Tablets
  • Smart Phones
  • Social Media- including Facebook
  • Email
  • Digital Photos
  • Gumtree
  • Downloading eBooks
  • Internet Connections

Six Week Courses

There are two six week courses available at Willagee Community Centre:

First Stage

An introductory six week course for those who are new to computers and want to learn the basics to get started. This course is suitable for anyone using Windows 10, covering:

  • Getting started
  • How to use a Mouse & keyboard
  • Basic word, creating a document
  • Basic internet, understanding the internet and Internet Explorer browser
  • Email overview

Cost: $30.00 for the six week course

Second Stage

A secondary six week course is for those with a basic understanding of how to navigate their computer. The Second Stage course covers:

  • Saving, creating and deleting files
  • Personalising your computer
  • More in depth internet and how to get the best out of it
  • Internet security
  • Online registrations

Open Access

Open Access is a drop in service where no appointments are required, just come along and ask your technology related questions.

Time: Mondays and Fridays, 10.00am to 12.00pm
Venue: Willagee Community Centre, corner of Archibald Street and Winnacott Street, Willagee
Cost: Gold coin donation
