This talk will focus on the relationship between diet and cognitive abilities and the food ingredients and dietary patterns that can support better memory and prevent the risk of dementia in older adulthood.
About the presenter:
Carolina Castro is a PhD Candidate with the Centre for Healthy Ageing at the Health Futures Institute at Murdoch University.
Carolina is a dietician by training, and she has been the first author or a co-author on 4 peer reviewed publications. She has recently submitted her PhD thesis entitled “Impact of Dietary Patterns and Multidomain Lifestyle Interventions on Cognitive Decline and cerebral Alzheimer’s disease-related biomarkers” with specific emphasis on dietary patterns and their impact on risk of cognitive decline and dementia.
