Come along and learn about the latest research and preventive interventions against cognitive decline.

Professor Hamid Sohrabi will discuss resilience to mental health problems in older adulthood. Specifically, his talk will focus on the relationship between depression and dementia.

About the presenter:

Professor Hamid Sohrabi is the Executive Director of the Health Futures Institute, the Director of the Centre for Healthy Ageing, and a Professor of Psychology and Clinical Neuroscience at the School of Psychology, Murdoch University, Western Australia.

Professor Sohrabi’s research focuses on the preclinical diagnosis of dementia, specifically Alzheimer’s disease, and preventive interventions for pathological cognitive decline. In recent years, Prof Sohrabi has been investigating healthy ageing and mental health of older adults.
