In his gripping memoir, Luke shares his journey as a search and rescue police diver with the WA Police Force, including a heart pounding 10-day operation that brought him and his team face-to-face with a couple of Great White sharks. Readers will not only dive into the thrilling challenges of the selection course but also explore the profound personal and family impacts and sacrifices of this demanding career.
About the author:
Luke grew up in Perth, Inglewood with a great and relatively care free childhood. Post high school he entered into the Police Cadet program and soon after became the youngest ever sworn Police Officer at the time. After 7 years in general duties, it was time to branch out and find a specialist role, which is when he found the Police Dive squad and where he spent the next 8 years of his career. During the last few years there he started writing his book and didn't publish it until 4 years later.
About the book:
Follow Luke "Macca" McCulloch and the Western Australian Water Police Dive Squad through a series of dive jobs over a 10-day period. The team travels from Perth to Geraldton, Esperance and Denmark to assist with search and rescue jobs, locating missing evidence and even come in contact with a Great White or two.
