For this concert, we’re excited to be joined by Zukhuta, featuring Mahamudo, Mararo and Friends!

Fresh from their musical play ‘Black Brass’, Mahamudo Selimane and Mararo Wangai have formed a new band that features vibrant songs set to a variety of African grooves.

Mahamudo, a renowned Mozambican singer and guitarist, has toured the world with his band Eyuphuro and now performs regularly in Perth, most recently with Soukouss Internationale. Mararo, a versatile Kenyan singer, actor and writer, has worked with various Australian theatres. Their album, Khululeko - meaning “freedom” in Xhangana - celebrates the universal spirit of freedom.

Joining them are John Wilson, Michael Boase, and multi-instrumentalist Tom Greble, along with Grammy-winning Lucky Oceans.

Experience the joy of Zukhuta and their transcendent music firsthand!
