The Black Swan Artists Present – Joy In Nature
❀ Featuring work by Rebecca Rabie, Isla Prince, Tamara Prince and Sophie Radici ❀
❀ The natural world: the air, sky, earth and waters; the flying, swimming or walking creatures; the living and the immobile scapes... they surround us each day. Their influence can be subtle at times, while at others they strike us to our very souls. Nature has inspired humankind for millennia because of its beauty, its serenity, its incomparable intelligence and construct! In effect, it moves us to emotional response.
❀ This exhibition is dedicated to the everlasting joy of experiencing Nature! Our artists have chosen subjects that resonate within. From abstracts that resemble reflected light in rippling water, flowers in ancient murals or a captured moment in time of a bee’s journey on a dewy spring morning. From a portrait of an owl to blossoms bleeding into one another like a dream, to simple hanging bird forms suspended on embroiderers’ floss. The media in this sharing includes oils, acrylics, foil, ink, pencil, alcohol ink, watercolour, rice paper transfers and porcelain.
