Exhibition | A Journey in Watercolour

A Journey in Watercolour showcases the evocative work of Swedish-born, Western Australian artist Anki Wickison, whose practice spans more than 35 years. Wickison’s distinctive style celebrates the play of light and shadow across landscapes, boats, and coastal scenes. With works created everywhere from tropical North Queensland to Antarctica, Wickison’s paintings are infused with a sense of travel, freedom, and connection to place.
 
Now based in Hamilton Hill, Wickison continues to explore the expressive possibilities of watercolour while also working in pen & wash and pastel. Her award-winning works are held in private collections across Australia, Europe, Japan, and the USA. A Journey in Watercolour invites audiences to immerse themselves in a life lived through art and adventure.
