Join us for Djeran Bonara Waangkiny, the third workshop in our year-long journey through the six Noongar seasons.
Led by Rickeeta Walley, this fun and interactive family session invites children and their families to welcome Djeran, the Noongar season of nourishment, shelter and connecting with the changing environment.
Each Bonara Waangkiny workshop shares a special story connected to its season and explores a different way of storytelling. For Djeran, we will celebrate with soundscapes, encouraging kids to explore listening and making sound instruments while learning about this transitional time of year.
Perfect for families and children of all ages, these workshops are hands-on, creative and playful. Come along to listen, learn and celebrate the beginning of Djeran together!
Please be advised that children under the age of 13 years are to be accompanied by an adult at this activity.
If you are unwell or cannot attend, please contact the library as soon as you are able to allow someone else to take your place.
