Join us for a workshop at Atwell House + Gallery discussing saving Perth's Endangered Black Cockatoos by
Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre's science officer and a real-life Baudin's Black Cockatoo called Rex. Then,
Liz Bozsa (Artist and Montessori Art Teacher) will guide you through capturing Rex using watercolours, pens, and pencils, with light refreshments provided.
Please bring to the workshop:
- - 300 GSM watercolour paper
- - Watercolour paints- red, blue, black
- - Round Watercolour brushes- thin, medium and thick
- - A water vessel like a cup or jar (water will be provided)
- - a small towel for spills and wiping your brush
- - Fine liner pen
- - Watercolour pencils or coloured pencils- a selection of colours in particular- red, blue, black, yellow
- - Coloured textas or makers- a selection of colours in particular- red, blue, black, yellow
- - An awesome artistic attitude!
Ages 6 plus. Rex is a very tame and sociable bird, but she is not to be handled and enjoys her personal space and quiet. Parents, please make sure your child is on their best behaviour for Rex so she is not startled and can also enjoy the workshop too.
