The Lions Club of Bull Creek will be cooking up a tasty barbecue breakfast from 8.30am, followed by the raising of the flag at 9.00am, and the announcement of the 2021 Auspire Community Citizen of the Year Awards from 9.15am. This will be followed by a special citizenship ceremony to welcome the City's newest Australian citizens.
The Auspire Community Citizen of the Year Awards recognise outstanding individuals and groups who have made a positive contribution to the community.
To ensure the event is COVID safe, attendees will be able to register via a QR code with the COVIDSafe app, and seating will be arranged so that people can stay 1.5m apart. COVID marshals, sanitisation stations and regular restroom cleaning will also be in place.
The event is assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council.
