Become a member of ART CLUB! Work with artists, make art!
Join multi-disciplinary artist Zali Morgan after school in Term 3 responding to the sights and sounds of Goolugatup and learn techniques of eco-dyeing and linocutting to make unique printed artworks on silk. Participants will build their knowledge of native plants and their potential as dye material, learning how to prepare a dye bath and create unique and beautiful patterns on silk. They will also have the opportunity to translate their drawings into linocut plates and then print them onto the silks, to result in a unique textile artwork! At the end of the workshop series, participants can invite friends and family to view a small exhibition of their works.
Dates: Every Tuesday from 22 July to 16 September (no session on 5 August)
Time: 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm each week
Venue: Goolugatup Heathcote Project Space
