In this one of a kind workshop series, participants will be guided in deep listening to the sounds and stories around them, with an opportunity to connect with stories from residents about the area. Participants will document their process over the eight weeks to create a beautiful songbook to take home, as well as ample experimentation with recording and mixing songs in GarageBand.
This hands-on workshop designed for children aged 8 to 12 will spark creativity, build technical skills and explore storytelling through sound.
During these workshops, children will:
- Explore different ways of listening to and interpreting sound
- Record and sample sounds from around Atwell House using GarageBand
- Compose their own music tracks
- Learn bookbinding techniques to create their very own songbook to take home.
