Thank You to our Volunteers

We took time to acknowledge the important role that volunteers play in giving back to the community during National Volunteer Week, celebrated between Monday, 17 May and Sunday, 23 May 2021.

This year’s theme acknowledges that it is time to recognise, reconnect and reimagine volunteering in Australia.

With the support of Volunteering WA, we were able to say thank you to all volunteers as their contribution, no matter how small, enriches the community in which we live.

The Melville Volunteer Resource Centre connects locals with volunteering resources and provides support to volunteer coordinators and groups with volunteers.

International Volunteer Manager's Day

International Volunteer Manager’s Day is held each year on 5 November and recognises the outstanding contribution that Volunteer Managers make in their communities.

The theme for 2021 is “What Is Excellence? – Pushing us beyond the ordinary”. Recent times have allowed the space to consider many aspects of the important work Volunteer Managers undertake. It is time to reflect upon what ‘excellence’ really means for the profession, and work towards creating some common language around this important topic.

This International Volunteer Managers Day (IVMD), we want to take the opportunity to say a big thank you for all that you do. Volunteers and volunteering leaders have an immense and immeasurable impact on our community and we treasure your efforts.

International Volunteer Day

This International Volunteer Day (IVD), we acknowledge our wonderful City of Melville volunteers who help build a better and safer future for all in our community!

IVD is held is held each year on 5 December across the world and recognises the outstanding contribution that volunteers make in their communities. This year’s theme, Volunteer now for our common future, aims to inspire people, to take action NOW for people and the planet.
