Celebrate in Harmony with your Neighbours
Your party is on us! We’re providing Friendly Neighbour “Harmony” grants (up to $200) for local households to host a verge / street or local park party that celebrates harmony, diversity and friendly neighbours. Let’s celebrate the variety cultural backgrounds, experiences and interests in our communities!
Party hosts will be provided with ‘host packs’ that include Harmony Day branded invitations and posters to help promote an event, plus tips on how to host a successful neighbourhood gathering. Hosts can connect to the Harmony Week website which has even more ideas on how to celebrate diversity.
Hosts will be required to provide feedback from their local event in the form of a head count of participants plus photos, stories, artwork and/or learnings of their event that express the themes of diversity and ‘friendly neighbours’.
Feedback can be submitted to access@melville.wa.gov.au or dropped off at the City of Melville Civic Centre, Community Centres or our Libraries by Sunday, 11 July 2021.
All entries will go into a prize draw to win kids packs, family meal vouchers and more!
Grant applications close Sunday, 20 June 2021.
