People building a nature play space

About the Nature Play Space at Brentwood Primary School

Imagine a welcoming and safe place in your neighbourhood where the local community could come and relax, play or chat, a green place that would encourage imagination and interaction between people and their natural environment. This is exactly the vision behind the nature play space project at Brentwood Primary School. We would use the Robin Hood Grant to expand our existing nature playground using natural materials and plants and adding seats to create a local hub for adventure and friendship.

Project Details

  • Budget: $20,000
  • Location: The project area is on Brentwood Primary School grounds, easily accessible to all
  • Community Benefit: Nature play spaces bring educational and social benefits by encouraging children's creativity, risk-taking and problem solving, and by providing the local community with an inclusive place to connect.
  • Who can be involved: This project is driven by Brentwood Primary School parents and staff, with the involvement and support of local community teams (playgroup, Scouts etc) in the journey from planning to construction.
