Friendly Neighbour Awards
In 2013, the City developed their Friendly Neighbour initiative, which helps people take that first step in getting to know and befriending their neighbours by supporting events such as street parties, barbeques and get-togethers.
An important part of the initiative is the Friendly Neighbour Awards, which recognise the fantastic people that are already active in the community, who go above and beyond to help or support their neighbours.
Anyone living within the City of Melville can make a nomination and the community are asked to help pick the final recipients during an open voting period.
Nominations open the Monday after Friendly Neighbour Day, the last Sunday of March.
