Suspected Minor Breach
Where you have reason to believe that an elected member has contravened the Local Government (Rules of Conduct) Regulations 2007
The complaint must be on the approved Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries form and lodged with the City of Melville, marked to the attention of the “Minor Breach Complaints Officer” (Director Corporate Services) who will send it to the Local Government Standards Panel.
Suspected Serious Breach
Where you have reason to believe that an elected member has contravened certain sections of the Local Government Act 1995
The matter may be reported to and dealt with by the Director General of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
Suspected Serious Misconduct
Where you have reason to believe that an elected member engages in corruption or commits a serious offence
