Meet the 2025 winners of the Youth Sports Scholarships

Fifteen of the City’s up-and-coming young athletes have received Youth Sports Scholarships.

Fifteen young athletes including hurdlers and squash players, table tennis players and trampoliners collected their Youth Sports Scholarships this week giving them use of the City’s LeisureFit Recreation Centres for a year, starting immediately.
 
The winners are among the City’s brightest young sporting stars and gathered to receive their new memberships and certificates from Melville Mayor Katy Mair at Shirley Strickland Reserve clubrooms. Formalities were followed by nibbles and a chance for the young athletes to socialise and make connections with their colleagues in the local sporting world. 
 
The City is pleased to announce the winners are:
  • Olivia Smith - Triathlon
  • Alexander Dewar - Athletics, 400m hurdles
  • Logan Read - Basketball
  • Amie Glass - Water Polo
  • Eseose Itotoh - Netball
  • Chelsea Wu - Table Tennis
  • Jasmine Wu - Table Tennis
  • Ashton Clement - Squash
  • Chiara Tholet - Athletics
  • Oliver Lefort - Running
  • Charlotte McGregor - Trampoline Gymnastics
  • Ruby Smits - Triathlon
  • Lilly Kessell - Triathlon
  • Ashley Pike - Athletics
  • Knox Treasure - Tennis
