The Canning Bridge precinct is home to a growing collection of striking murals by local and high profile artists, and now there’s an exciting new way to explore them with an Art Walk.
The City of Melville has launched a beautifully designed
Murals of Canning Bridge Handbook, inviting locals and visitors to take a self-guided walking tour through the precinct, discovering vibrant artworks by a range of local and international artists. The trail is open all day, every day, allowing people to explore at their own pace and enjoy the area on their own schedule.
Each mural tells a story, adding creativity and colour to the streets while reflecting the unique character of Canning Bridge. Along the way, you can take in the river views and stop for a bite to eat or drink at one of the many nearby cafes and restaurants.
The handbook is available from participating local businesses and various City of Melville locations, or can be downloaded to your phone via the City’s
website.
To complement the self-guided experience, guided mural tours will also be available through local tour company Oh Hey WA. Running from September 2025 to May 2026, these subsidised tours are supported through the City of Melville’s Canning Bridge Place Grants and will include sessions tailored for young people, adults and seniors.
The Canning Bridge Place Grants are funded by reinvesting paid parking revenue from the precinct into projects that help bring vibrancy and creativity to the area.
