COVID-19 facilities update

With the State Government easing COVID-19 transitional restrictions, we are pleased to advise that from Sunday, 14 February 2021 the following LeisureFit programs and services will be available:

  • Gym
  • Pools
  • Spa, sauna, steam (a maximum capacity of four people per area applies).
  • All fitness classes will return to pre-lockdown timetabling and capacity numbers. Book fitness classes via our Member Book Online Portal.
  • All programs such as Flippa Swim School, TeenFit, Junior Triathlon Academy, LeisureFit Competition Swim and Creche will continue.

You will no longer be required to pre-book Gym or Pool sessions and as such, access for members will be available via all entry points. Wearing of masks is no longer mandatory however please continue to check-in via the SafeWA app. We encourage you to practice social distancing while in our centres and to continue to wipe down your equipment with gym wipes after use.

Members: If you aren't quite ready to return and wish to extend or apply for a membership suspension, simply complete our Timehold request form. Due to COVID-19, we are offering a complimentary timehold on all memberships until further notice.

Are both centres reopening?

Both our LeisureFit Melville and LeisureFit Booragoon centres will return to pre lockdown restrictions from Sunday, 14 February 2021. Normal operating hours will apply. 

 

 

Will my membership be credited for the period LeisureFit was closed?

All members have been credited for the five days LeisureFit was closed, Monday, 1 February to Friday, 5 February. Due to the closure, all membership debits were suspended from Monday, 1 February 2021. Membership direct debits will recommence as of Monday, 15 February 2021.  Should your scheduled membership debit have been within this closure period these will now take place as a once-off on Monday, 15 February 2021. Direct debits will then return to your scheduled monthly date.

 

Will the Spa, Sauna and Steam reopen?

Yes.  A maximum capacity of 4 people per area will apply as per pre-lockdown restrictions.

Do I need to pre-book into fitness classes, gym and pool sessions?

Bookings are no longer required due to the easing of restrictions.  All fitness classes will return to pre-lockdown timetabling and capacity numbers.  However, we encourage our members to book in advance to avoid disappointment.  A 12 hour advance booking window applies.  Members book online - Book Online Portal

Casual visitors, including multi-visit holders, can view availability of sessions via the online portal however are unable to book online.

Are Competition Swim sessions still running this week?

All Competition sessions will return to normal as of Monday, 15 February 2021.  This includes Strength and Conditioning sessions for Performance Squad swimmers.

Is the Creche at LeisureFit Booragoon open?

Our creche services will return to normal.  Booking are essential.  We recommend you contact LeisureFit to book in advance on 9364 0800.

Is there any restrictions on how long I can spend in the Centre?

Due to the easing of restrictions there will no longer be time limits on your attendance at the centres.

 

 

Will I be credited for Swim School classes that were cancelled during the lockdown period?

All swimmers affected by the cancelled classes from Monday, 1 February to Friday, 5 February 2021 will have their accounts credited.

  • Swimmers on a direct debit plan will have a future direct debit payment cancelled.
  • Swimmers who paid upfront will have a credit voucher placed on their account to be used towards an enrolment in either Term 2, 2021 or our April 2021 School Holiday Program.
Covid-19 Mandatory Contact Registers

From Saturday, 5 December businesses and venues will need to keep a contact register of visitors. The contact registers will allow the WA Health Department to do targeted contact tracing, to help limit transmission of COVID-19, should it be required.

All visitors including members will need to sign-in with your name and contact details. The easiest way to do this is to use the SafeWA app, which allows you to scan a QR code to register your details quickly and hygienically.  Entry will be refused for failure to register via one of the two methods available.

Our facilities will also have an alternative contact register system for visitors who do not have the app. Find out more on the WA Government website

What additional cleaning and hygiene stations are available?

We have installed hand sanitiser stations at all entry and exit points, along with extra antibacterial gym wipe dispensers in all fitness studios.  We have allowed for adequate cleaning time between fitness classes to ensure a thorough clean is completed before the next class commences.  All shared equipment will be disinfected and cleaned between use. 

Our professional cleaning schedule has also increased along with each specific areas rostering additional staff for cleaning shifts.

Do you have a Covid-19 Safety Plan?

LeisureFit’s COVID Safety Plan certificate is available across both centres. 

Please maintain a 4sqm distance with other patrons, i.e. refrain from high fives, hugs or hand shaking.  The Centre has implemented social distancing signage throughout the centre, hygiene stations and staff have been trained in the City’s COVID-19 safety plan.  We request that you arrive at the centre no more than 10 minutes prior to your session time and leave shortly thereafter.

We ask customers to not attend the centre if you have any of the following symptoms; fever, cough or shortness of breath.

Will I need to wear a mask?

From Sunday, 14 February you are no longer required to wear a mask.
